Imperial’s support networks for Black-heritage students

We have a wide range of support networks, mentoring programmes, student societies, wellbeing support and online content for students of Black heritage across Imperial. Our aim is to support your academic journey at whatever stage you begin it.

Imperial As One

Imperial As One is a network for staff and postgraduate students and an advisory group that helps set priorities and advises the College on how to support and promote an inclusive workplace and culture of respect.

Student societies

Imperial is home to many student-run clubs like the African Caribbean Society who welcome people of any and every background who are interested in celebrating African and Caribbean culture.

The President’s Scholarship for Students of Black Heritage acts as a symbol of hope for a community that has often felt like they’re not good enough to achieve their dreams. I believe that this award will help to improve the diversity of the student community at Imperial and allow more students to fulfil their potential and thrive, despite the barriers to education that are out of their control.
