Study Life Sciences at a university ranked 2nd in the world (QS 2025).

Why study Life Sciences at Imperial?

Home to world-changing discoveries

Our academics have made some of the greatest scientific breakthroughs of modern times. In the mid-20th century, we conducted the first epidemiology disease modelling – today we’re identifying gene theories which could control malaria.

Contribute to vital research

You’ll spend most of your time on field work like conducting animal surveys. You may even play a part in evolutionary research by contributing to species population tracking studies.

Access exceptional ecological facilities

You’ll be based at our Silwood Park Campus, which hosts unique facilities for field research in woodland, grassland and freshwater habitats, as well as genomics and microbiology laboratories.

My Master’s course is particularly special because of the number of opportunities I get to apply the knowledge learned in my courses to exciting projects, as well as the chances to actively engage in current research at the forefront of scientific and medical discovery.
